Judgmental comments we face daily. The confinement by non-required expectations. No progression in life from personal limitations and fear. People being viewed differently just because they do not follow the general “rules”. All these pushing us into individual imprisonment; we feel wrapped up and powerless.

Designer ...Terry Yeo bring this sense of repression into bedlamite’s Spring Summer 2010 collection entitled “The Asylum – Trapped in”. His left of center approach is a much needed fresh breath to local menswear that need not stay typical, rather Yeo maintains a strongly masculine silhouette whilst offering up unexpected lengths and textures with manipulation within the form of traditional menswear. The garments give a sense of entrapment and constriction all the while looking composed and tailored.

ForInSaneHuman clothing are design by Insane Human For Insane Human.

bedlamite, [bed-luh-mahyt], is our menwear label.
bedlam, [bed-luhm], is our womenwear label.

Taken from http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insane, “Traditionally insanity or madness is the behavior whereby a person flouts societal norms and may become a danger to themselves and others.” All of us are freaks in some ways, from how we position of an item in their rightful place to what positions that we like to sleep in. The label, “ForInSaneHuman”, as suggested by the name itself, it represents the insanity in all of us. We are all freaks in our little own way.

This label will create a grey line between what is normal and what is a freak to all of us. ForInSaneHuman will explore the traditional concept of clothing and experiment how to reform it, pushing each seam to its limits. Making the normal cutting to twisted in its’ own way. Exposing the abnormalities of the world for all to see and judge. Thus making us think what is normal for all of us?

Beneficiaries are trained to be commercial tailors & handicrafters. The company pays for the materials & training. The product made by the beneficiaries are sold. They are paid the cost of labour per piece of work.

One will be called "OneOfTheKind" and the other will be called "bAsIc".
The "OneOfTheKind" is self-explanatory, but the "bAsIc" will not be that basic, it will be juz the tune down version of the "OneOfTheKind" collection
This outfit is the 1st outfit for "OneOfTheKind" collection.

Fashion Incubator at Parco@Millenia is confirm

Parco/TaFf had selected us to be part of the exciting project – Fashion Incubator at Parco@Millenia. This project will include 20 plus others local designers to have our own small little space to sell our stuffs. This project will provide us with mentorship from the experience company, guiding us on how to run a company and such. Targeted shop opening will be in Apr/May 10.

A launch pad fashion show to showcase & introduce the next wave of cutting edge Singapore designers who are not only creative but are also able to develop & sustain a viable business. Each designer/brand to showcase 12 outfits (all female, all male, 6 female & 6 male, or combination of female & male). Competition in Oct 09.

"Traditionally, insanity, craziness or madness is the behavior whereby a person flouts societal norms and may become a danger to themselves and others. Greek tragedies and Shakespeare often refer to madness in this sense. Psychologically, it is a general, popular and legal term defining behavior influenced by mental instability. In modern usage, it is most commonly encountered as an informal, unscientific term, or in the narrow legal context of the insanity defense. In the medical profession the term is now avoided in favor of more specific diagnoses of mental illness such as schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.[1] When discussing mental illness in general terms, "psychopathology" is also considered a preferred descriptor.[2]
In English, the word "sane" derives from the Latin adjective sanus meaning healthy. The phrase "mens sana in corpore sano" is often translated to mean a "healthy mind in a healthy body". From this perspective, insanity can be considered as poor health of the mind, not necessarily of the brain as an organ (although that can affect mental health), but rather refers to defective function of mental processes such as reasoning. Inside everyone of us is a tinge of INSANITY waiting to unleash itself. We are defined by our interests and outlooks of life which creates our individuality. But as they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
